The Pasifika Project’s Utah Regional Convening is a two-day, in-person gathering hosted by the Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (API-GBV), in partnership with Pouhana O Nā Wāhine (Pouhana), taking place March 25–26, 2026, in Salt Lake City.
This event is open to advocates, service providers, community leaders, and systems partners who currently serve or are planning to serve Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking. The convening focuses on strengthening culturally responsive, survivor-centered, and sustainable approaches to addressing gender-based violence in NHPI communities.
OVW grantees: OVW grantees may use travel funds from their OVW awards to attend, subject to prior approval from their grant manager.
Participation varies by day and is based on staffing, scheduling, and venue considerations:
- Day 1: Talanoa at the Capitol (requires confirmation)
- Day 2: Training and Peer Networking is open for registration on a first-come, first-served basis.
