The Interpretation Technical Assistance Center (ITARC) provides training and technical assistance to OVW grantees, subgrantees, and potential grantees and subgrantees on increasing and strengthening meaningful language access to persons with limited English proficiency experiencing domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking.

The Healing Across Language project hosts a National Center for the Training, Testing, and Registry of Trauma-Informed Interpreters trained specifically on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, stalking, and other forms of gender-based violence.

This project builds the capacity of Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) advocacy organizations and victim service providers to serve victims of domestic violence and sexual assault from MENA communities by identifying domestic violence and sexual assault dynamics and trends, strengthening services for marginalized and/or newly arrived MENA ethnic groups, and enhancing the accessibility of services for MENA victims with limited English proficiency (LEP).

This project provides training and technical assistance to organizations currently serving or planning to serve survivors from Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities on increasing their capacity to serve NHPI survivors effectively by enhancing program design, cultural responsiveness, and language accessibility.

This project builds organizations’ skills and knowledge to address the culturally specific dynamics of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking impacting the Asian Pacific Islander (API) community and assists organizations to develop culturally specific community engagement strategies to effectively work with varied Asian-specific faith-based communities.

This project provides training and technical assistance to courts, court-based programs, and service providers seeking to ensure meaningful language access for litigants with limited English proficiency involved in domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and/or stalking matters.
