Description

Please join Victim Rights Law Center and the National Crime Victim Law Institute for this interactive webinar exploring the critical ways that lawyers can assist sexual assault survivors as they navigate an often-hostile criminal justice system. The webinar will examine the myriad of ways lawyers can support their survivor-clients throughout the criminal justice process. Whether it means accompanying a survivor to make a report to law enforcement, helping a survivor prepare to testify at trial, protecting a survivor’s privacy and other victims’ rights in court, or assisting with the preparation of victim impact statements post-conviction, victim representation is key to supporting survivors who choose to pursue justice in the criminal justice system. VRLC’s Assistant Director of Training and Consultation, Maura Crossin, is excited to be collaborating with NCVLI’s Executive Director, Meg Garvin, for this informative and important training.
