Building Strong Partnerships for Survivor-Centered Support for Survivors of Human Trafficking
- Description
-
Survivors of human trafficking, domestic violence, and sexual assault deserve coordinated and compassionate support, instead of fragmented systems. When the roles of different services/systems are unclear or communication breaks down between organizations and systems, survivors may encounter delays in accessing services and challenges in navigating the different systems by themselves without advocacy support.
This interactive webinar will go beyond paperwork to show how to create memoranda of understandings (MOUs) and interagency protocols that are survivor centered and strengthen partnerships to prioritize the multi-faceted needs of survivors of human trafficking. The webinar will cover strategies for building trust across agencies, clarifying responsibilities, and embedding trauma-informed practices and shared language in every agreement. Presenters will share real-world examples and highlight key considerations for supporting survivors of human trafficking through multidisciplinary teams.
Learning objectives:
As a result of this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Describe the purpose and key elements of memoranda of understandings (MOUs) and interagency protocols that improve coordination and support better outcomes for survivors.
- Align shared goals, roles, and responsibilities across organizations and systems to support consistent, survivor-centered collaboration.
- Apply trauma-informed principles when developing or revising MOUs and protocols.
- Use practical strategies to maintain and review agreements that sustain strong, cross-sector partnerships.
