This judicial training webinar explores the essential role of interpreters and translators within court setting, with a focus on improving outcomes for survivors. Designed for judges, court staff, advocates and service providers. The session will highlight the distinctions between bilingual services and professional interpretation, provide foundational knowledge for working effectively with interpreters, and outline the interpreter’s roles, skills, and ethical responsibilities. Participants will also examine the impacts of vicarious trauma on interpreters-especially those serving in cases of domestic violence and sexual assault.
