National Alliance to End Sexual Violence

Summary

Safe housing can reduce the risk of being sexually harmed and homelessness can increase the risk. Centering the housing needs of individuals who are at risk of or have been sexually assaulted, sexually abused, or sexually harassed developed the National Sexual Assault Housing Collaborative (Collaborative). The Collaborative is a project led by the National Alliance to End Sexual Violence. Project partners include the National Organization of Sisters of Color Ending Sexual Assault, National Coalition Resource Sharing Project, and National Sexual Violence Resource Center. Initially funded for two years, we will take a deep dive into identifying the unique housing needs across the lifespan of those who are sexually harmed. The Collaborative will host listening sessions, offer training and technical assistance, and develop resources.
