Teen Dating violence is a common issue that disproportionately impacts young people throughout our society.Although technology serves as a common medium for forming relationships and understanding self-perception and peer dynamics, it is also frequently misused within dating violence relationships.
The presenters will discuss the unfiltered use of technology in the daily lives of teenagers, exploring both the positive and negative aspects of their digital interactions. They will also discuss the misuse of technology within teen dating violence relationships. Advocates will learn tips and techniques on how to support survivors and build trust and rapport with teens facing technology abuse. The webinar will cover actionable strategies for advocates to support and connect with teens as they engage in safety planning.
