Studies indicate that individuals with disabilities are at a significantly higher risk of experiencing domestic and sexual violence compared to those without disabilities. Survivors with disabilities also report more perpetrators and longer periods of violence. In this webinar, Activating Change staff will delve into the unique challenges faced by people with disabilities and Deaf individuals in experiencing violence, difficulties in navigating criminal justice and victim services, aapnd potential solutions to improve responses. This session will lay the groundwork for ongoing discussions and deeper exploration of the intersection between violence and disability throughout the year.
