Description

This training explores the intersection of domestic violence (DV) and suicide, highlighting the often-overlooked reality that more DV victims die by suicide than homicide. Participants will learn about shared risk factors, real case examples, and emerging data from the U.S. and the U.K., including findings from DV-related suicide reviews.
Presenters will outline how domestic violence fatality review teams (DVFRTs) can adapt their practices to include suicides linked to DV, improve interagency collaboration, and implement trauma-informed, survivor- and family-centered reviews that lead to actionable change.
