Description

LGBTQ+ survivors of domestic/dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking often do not have access to LGBTQ+-specific services and often feel that service providers working with the general population are not meant for them. This webinar focuses on how service providers and coalitions can engage in effective outreach to LGBTQ+ survivors and communities, as well as LGBTQ+ organizations, to ensure that LGBTQ+ survivors have a place to turn after experiencing violence. Participants will learn about common barriers to accessing mainstream services and strategies for addressing those barriers, such as ways to make their programs and their messaging more inclusive of LGBTQ+ survivors.
