Description

We will be kicking off 2026 with a new Inspired Boost on a highly anticipated topic!

Working in visitation and safe exchange settings means holding space for families navigating deep trauma and high-stress situations. This session offers a focused, supportive look at the dynamics that often shape those moments.

This presentation will provide visitation and safe exchange program staff with a trauma-informed lens to observe the intersection between domestic violence and mental health dynamics within the supervised visitation/safe exchange environment. We’ll focus on reframing survivor behaviors, spotting subtle coercion tactics, recognizing when mental health is being weaponized, and identifying signs of distress in children.

Join us as we build a shared understanding of these dynamics and strengthen our collective ability to support families with clarity and compassion.
