Men and boys of faith have intersecting identities including sexual orientation and gender identity. LGBTQ+ survivors face additional risks and barriers to safety in faith communities, such as when experiencing dating violence. Faith beliefs, stigma, community pressure, and cultural norms can all impact LGBTQ+ survivors. Join JWI, The Representation Project, and Ujima Inc., The National Center on Violence Against Women in the Black Community for a workshop on February 21st at 1 PM EST to learn tools and strategies to engage and support LGBTQ+ men and boys of faith in violence prevention. You will gain insights into diverse experiences, effective messaging inclusive practices, and resources.
