Description

This session will discuss core program components for a response to domestic and or sexual violence. It will include information about safety and those different aspects of safety that needs to be addressed. Confidentiality and its importance as a part of victim safety. We will discuss core policies that a program should have in place to help guide the work of the advocates and ensure a safe and effective response for victims. We will talk about different methods for providing the services that can be options and pros and cons for different approaches. Last but definitely not least, we will explore options for building in a means to learn about how the program is working once it is operational.
