Description

For criminalized survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault, the fight for justice often lasts far beyond trial. Join Cindene Pezzell, Director of the National Defense Center for Criminalized Survivors at BWJP, for an essential training designed for attorneys, advocates, and others supporting survivors navigating post-conviction relief (PCR).

Attendees will explore legal strategies and practical frameworks to challenge convictions and secure freedom for incarcerated survivors, including traditional PCR/habeas corpus, “survivor justice” relief, parole, and clemency. The conversation wraps up with some examples of survivors who obtained post-conviction relief via various pathways. Join this webinar to learn about tools, strategies, and approaches needed to help criminalized survivors access justice.
