The National Institute on the Prosecution of Sexual Violence: Focus on Cold and Current Cases (NIPSVCC) is an intensive, four-day training designed exclusively for prosecutors handling sexual violence cold cases, including cases arising from untested rape kits, newly tested forensic evidence, delayed reporting, or prior investigative or charging decisions.

This Institute treats “cold case” sexual violence not as a function of age, but as a function of missed investigative opportunities, evolving science, and renewed prosecutorial responsibility.

AEquitas expects to deliver this training June 9–12, 2026, in Pittsburgh, PA. This event is pending OVW approval.

AEquitas will send out further information inviting prospective participants to apply at a later date.
