Summary

The Idaho Coalition Against Sexual and Domestic Violence is a technical assistance provider for the Office on Violence Against Women on teen dating and sexual violence prevention and/or intervention for rural communities with meaningful access for youth who are racially or ethnically diverse, youth with disabilities, or Deaf youth, and youth who identify as LGBTQ. We are available to provide training and technical assistance in these ways: ––Build the capacity of rural communities on teen dating and sexual violence prevention and intervention evidence–based basic and advanced strategies with meaningful access for underserved youth. ––Build collaborations in rural communities between schools, community organizations, and service programs. ––Develop model workshops that are developmentally appropriate and trauma–informed, to interrupt harmful social norms that perpetuate systemic oppression's. ––Disseminate tools for rural communities to challenge and reduce bias, assumptions, and stereotypes.––Cultivate Youth Organizing skills and network to interrupt social norms that create the conditions for violence and create new healthy social norms.
