Institute on the Use of Interpreters in Client Representation

Description

The Institute on the Use of Interpreters in Client Representation will train attendees on best practices to implement when working with interpreters when representing gender-based violence victims/survivors. Specific topics will include: evaluating when a client would benefit from an interpreter, building relationships with interpreters and interpreting organizations, and effective communication via interpreter. Please note that the Institute will focus on use of interpreters in the attorney-client counseling relationship, as opposed to the use of interpreters in the courtroom.
