Description

This 90-minute interactive webinar will serve as an introduction to the legal needs of sex trafficking survivors. Intended for legal advocates, the first part of the training will review the legal framework of trafficking and examine how traffickers often use domestic violence and sexual assault as tools of coercion and control. Using scenarios based on her experience representing trafficking survivors, VRLC’s Alexia Tomlinson will identify common legal needs faced by survivors still “in the life” and those who have recently exited. Participants will be equipped with the tools they need to begin to address the complex needs of trafficking survivors in a trauma-informed manner.
