Description

Identifying the unique advocacy needs and barriers to services for Native LGBTQ+/Two Spirit survivors requires ongoing reflection and commitment to action. This session will help participants explore a new process called the Program Assessment for Social Change that advocacy programs can utilize to assess themselves and identify opportunities to strengthen services and support for LGBTQ2S+ survivors. Session participants will have an opportunity to reflect on their current work with LGBTQ2S+ survivors, including:How the needs of LGBTQ2S+ survivors and staff are centered in how programs and services are structuredIdentifying what opportunities exist to foster new community partnerships and strengthen existing relationshipsExploring what strategies programs are using to ensure that services grow and adapt based on emerging barriers and needs.
