OVW TRANSITIONAL HOUSING PEER-TO-PEER MEETINGS FOR AAPI COMMUNITIES

Description

NNEDV is hosting a series of peer-to-peer meetings for Transitional Housing grantees who are serving survivors in Asian/ Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. The meetings are facilitated by our MOU partner, Asian Pacific Institute on Gender-Based Violence (API-GBV) and will offer a space for open discussion on the needs of grantees to better serve this special population. It will also serve as a forum to acknowledge the wide range of challenges presenting in our AAPI communities; gather information and learn about trends and dynamics of gender-based violence; identify how AAPI communities experience the lack of housing as a form of violence; and inform our learning and strategies in order to strengthen advocacy for AAPI survivors in the transitional housing program.
