Proactive Approaches to Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Learning Collaborative Session 5: Culture & Accountability

The IACP, with support from the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW), is pleased to announce the newest Learning Collaborative for police professionals, including but not limited to sworn officers, investigators, victim services, and trainers, who are interested in improving their agency’s response to domestic violence and sexual assault cases. This Learning Collaborative will consist of monthly, one-hour virtual sessions where agencies can learn from and discuss topics with their peers and subject matter experts. Agencies will also review and complete each section of the https://www.theiacp.org/sites/default/files/2020-11/7585/Assessment%20Tools%20%26%20Resources.pdf” Enhancing Community Trust: Proactive Approaches to Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency Self-Assessment and develop a tailored action plan at their own pace. Participants will also receive assistance from IACP, our project partner, the National Center for Victims of Crime (NCVC), and subject matter experts. This Learning Collaborative will help agencies develop and implement strategies that improve police responses to domestic violence and sexual assault; increase victim involvement in investigations; improve case outcomes; and foster greater community confidence and trust. An IACP staff member will follow up with additional registration instructions.
