 tigation skills of attorneys who represent survivors of domestic violence 
 in contested child custody hearings and trials. Working from a hypothetica
 l fact pattern\, participants perform direct and cross examinations of exp
 ert witnesses\, lay evidentiary foundations for electronic evidence\, comp
 lete impeachment exercises\, and deliver closing arguments\, while receivi
 ng immediate feedback and constructive critique from expert faculty.  As 
 a result of participating in the Advanced Trial Skills Institute\, attorne
 ys will gain confidence and improve their abilities to think quickly on th
 eir feet and effectively represent their clients in contested custody case
